We are thrilled to announce the opening call for grants from the Biostime Institute for Nutrition & Care, commencing in January and closing by 15th of March 2026.

We are actively seeking innovative and impactful proposals in the dynamic field of maternal and child nutrition and health.

This year's grant initiative is dedicated to supporting preclinical and clinical studies that contribute to advancing knowledge and improving the nutrition and health of mothers and children around three key topics - see below.

Nutritional Solutions in Infant Allergy

Research focusing on nutritional strategies for:

  • Allergy prevention
  • Induction of immune tolerance
  • Recovery and long-term management of allergic conditions

This includes, but is not limited to, the role of specific nutrients, bioactive compounds, microbiota-modulating ingredients, and early-life nutritional programming.

Nutritional Interventions Supporting Child Growth and Development

Research aimed at optimizing healthy growth trajectories in children, with a specific focus on:

  • Bone development and skeletal health
  • Cognitive development and neurodevelopmental outcomes

Proposals may address mechanisms, clinical outcomes, or innovative nutritional approaches across early life stages.

Postbiotic Solutions for Maternal, Infant, and Child Health

Research exploring the potential of postbiotics in supporting health and development during:

  • Pregnancy and lactation
  • Infancy and childhood

Topics of interest include immune modulation, gut health, metabolic health, and mother–infant interactions.
